I just received the MR Longbow in the mail. After careful examination and attention to detail, I believe this pack is well made and the stitching is of high quality. I have been using an Osprey pack, 65L, for the past year and wasn't getting the durability I needed from it. I returned it and put the money towards the Longbow. With 2200 interior cubic inches and plenty of room for outside attachments, gear, and other misc. items, this pack could be outfitted for a 3-5 day hunt with ease. The TriZip design is outstanding and allows me to either access the bag from the top, or access items at the bottom of the pack without emptying all of the top items. The frame is very sturdy and extremely well made. Im 200 lbs and I have been leaning on this frame without finding integrity issues, unlike a normal internal frame backpacking pack. While the frame is very sturdy and strong, it still conforms to twisting and arching of the back for comfort. This pack is very versatile; it could be used for simple daily activities and hunts but could be equipped for extended stays in the backcountry. I also like the option of detaching the bag from the frame and having a place to store a dry bag for extra storage or haul meat and/or equipment. To store items between the pack and frame, you would simply need to cross the bottom straps and attach them to one of the buckles on the middle or top end of the frame. The hip belt is very rugged and stiff, but looks to be a very sturdy and comfortable system. Within the next couple of days I will be loading this pack and going on a 7-10 mile hike with approximately 50 lbs loaded. A youtube video will be posted with results. Although the pack may be heavier than most 2200 cu in packs, the extra weight doesn't bother me because I know that the bag will not disappoint me during the hunt. Thank you MR for creating a great bag that is exactly what I was looking for.
Bowhunting pack designed for versatility and speed.
The Longbow is a compact and lightweight bow hunting pack. Its 3-Zip design provides top or front panel access. Six internal pockets (including one zippered mesh pocket) and a separate zippered lid pocket provide organization for optics and personal gear. The Longbow is compatible with most hydration reservoirs and has built-in ports that route the hose directly to your shoulder pad.
