Oversized medic pack for ultimate preparedness.

ROUS features quick access to your organized medical supplies. The large top lid has elastic loops for gauze and a detail pocket for administrative needs. The front panel has one large pocket and two rip-zip pockets for more storage. Inside the main compartment are six removable pockets and two IV bag pockets, all with clear panels for fast identification.

  • The NICE Frame is a rigid yet dynamic system that moves with you. The frame consists of three vertical and three horizontal carbon fiber stays and a full fabric panel between the stays that absorbs shock and increases the flexibility of the frame. This patented construction allows the frame to flex with your body, resulting in top-down load transfer to comfortably carry heavy loads. The Futura Yoke easily micro adjusts to the torso length allowing the proper amount of stand-off between the back and frame.
  • The BVS – Bolstered Ventilation and Stability system– allows for a stable, secure fit over body armor and can be easily removed.
  • PALS webbing accommodates MOLLE accessories
  • Internal trash pocket for easy inventory resupply
  • Two internal sleeves for splints and long items
  • Top lid features internal bandage and gauze loops
  • Internal top handle for hanging opened pack
  • Bolsters can be easily removed
  • Built of custom spec’d 500D CORDURA® with DWR and PU coatings for maximum durability, UV, and weather protection

Rated 5 out of 5 by from ROUS Medical Pack - AdaptableBought this pack after trying many others from Mystery Ranch, CTOMS, Conterra, Blackhawk, Platatac etc etc. Most were either too small or disorganised. Holds all of the kit from my RATS with room for sustainment kit (batteries, sleeping bag, bivvy etc). The Velcro internals stops stuff blowing everywhere in the back of a Helo, and allows pre-loaded modules to be resupplied. Whilst a little bit big for vehicle or helo operations, it is exceptional for dismounted operations. I've used on multi-day operations without difficulty. It is big enough that you can carry an oxygen cylinder or a blood transfusion box alongside with TCCC and PFC kit. About the same size as a NICE 6500. Only complaint - the internal Velcro ripped with some abuse, but I'll get that fixed one day.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sweet bagThis bag is probably the best bag I have ever used. The bag is actually designed properly for the application. You can configure everything the way that you want as per your mission requirements and personal preference. Very useful, makes it easy to transfer between tailgate medicine and mission specific needs. Best bag ever.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for deploymentI was given this bag during my 1st deployment to Afghanistan and it was basically my ruck/aid bag during 15-30 day operations. This bag has so many different compartments that I was able to organize everything I needed and then some. You’d be surprised how much you can fit in this bag.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from THE wildland line PARAMEDIC packI have worked as a wildland fireline paramedic (EMPF) for 5 seasons now both hiking on the line with crews as well as staged in vehicles and at helibases, and THIS IS THE PACK YOU WANT for the job. This pack has the volume you need for all the ALS (IV fluid, medications, intubation, O2, even AED) gear if you are working as a line paramedic (compared to a handcrew firefighter digging line who also happens to be an EMT Basic who is carry much less medical gear volume and weight, in which case other MR offerings like the RATS are good). I also keep a light SOL tarp and bivy in mine in case I am overnight with a patient in the field. The pouches come out if you need more space, or you can use them to be as organized as you want, and this pack will accept other companies rip n' stick accessories quite nicely. Two internal sleeves can hold either your own water in bladders or IV fluid bags for patients. Side pockets are perfect for 32oz water bottles. Not only does the volume hold all your ALS medical gear, but you'll also have space for personal gear like your lunch, rain jacket, 10 Essentials, etc - space that is often overlooked in most purpose-built wildland medical packs. Your fire shelter can be easily attached in a pouch on the bottom via the ROUS' straps and not bang into your butt. After trying MANY medical, wildland and SAR backpacks over 20 years, the best feature of this pack is that it actually is designed to distribute all that weight (often 45-75lbs) onto your hips and across your body so it is tolerable to carry all day, and balanced to keep the load close to your body in rough terrain. Yes, it is more expensive than other packs, but you really will get that much more out of this pack over others - especially if you're hiking on the line. Your back will thank you. Not to mention you can get other MR bags that you can put on the NICE frame for enjoying the weight carrying benefits while backpacking, hunting, etc in your off time. If you are going out as an agency, cooperator or contractor EMPF, this is your pack.

Needed some extra room that was achieved with modular pouches. The inner compartment accessible easily and divided with pouches that can easily organize/categorize equipment Also you got two big side pouches that I put my chest tube and coniotomy bundles. The bottom pouch was sufficient to contain my intubation kit. The top pouch I used for monitor. Used modular pouch to hang the ventilator.Didn’t put my drugs in the top pouch.
