Rated 4 out of 5 by from The one I was waiting for !The Y shaped zip-opening a stroke of genius, great design (i.e. pockets on top and pockets inside with and without mesh, compression straps, frame and harness), the right size for daily usage, no doubt at all about manufacturing quality one sees it and feels it, easy adjustments and so comfortable one barely notices it while carrying, lots of molle outside (not used but looking so cool).Buzzing around and having great success when showing off ;-) A great Mystery Ranch backpack. For next version wishing wider attachment span of lower compression strap, one additional compression strap maybe, and a couple of inside straps to attach stuff.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from TWO-DAPI Love the construction and execution. My favorite part is the seemingly bottomless top pocket on the lid. I have a complaint however. There is a rigid portion of the pack at the bottom of the laptop area that digs into the back while carrying. I have not as of yet been able to come up with a fix. Perhaps on a smaller person this would not be an issue. But for me it may be a deal breaker as I cant carry it for long without irritation. I use this a my daily work/ computer bag. I travel extensively for work and must at times live out of a single bag. It does provide enough space for my laptop and gear plus a few days of clothes.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Bag, 2 minor complaintsBought it about a month ago and love it. Have the 3-day assault in Multicam but wanted something that was lower vis and more travel friendly and this fits the bill. I have two complaints that come to mind though: 1. None of the straps came with a tie-down to stow the excess, wish MR had some velcro for that. 2. My water bottle is prone to falling out of the exterior pockets (it's a 32oz Hydroflask). A retention system that comes with the bag would make it just about perfect. Besides that the construction is good and the bag fits the items I need for a day. Depending on what you "need" you better be good at packing if you want to fit 2 days worth of gear in it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good EDCI bought this bag for my EDC and it does well. It's not heavy but still has superior materials and build quality. I have used it hiking twice. On one of those events, my 2 year old hurt his leg when he fell and he didn't want to walk anymore. I am using hiking lightly. There is a flatish spot we let the little ones walk around. since him walking was no longer an option, I had to dump my gear, or aleast secure it with paracord to the outside using the webbing. I put my todler in the back and left the middle zipper open with 2 retaining straps secured to hold him in for the mile-ish walk back. I love it, my wife loves it, and now I have a toddler that tries to play hide and seek in it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Decent pack for the moneyI bought this pack right before a 3 week field training to bring my gear in the truck each day. The 2 biggest issues I have with it are the pockets on the sides, and the straps. The side pockets are too shallow to hold a Nalgene well. My water bottle hops out of the pockets frustratingly often. The straps do not have quick releases, which you would expect to get on an "assault pack" so you can both quickly drop it and easily hang it on the side of the truck Its a well made pack and I do really like the 3 zipper system, so as a whole I do like it, but the shallow side pockets and absent quick releases are frustrating.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Smaller brother of 3DAP + EDC featuresI love most features of this pack - has lightly padded laptop pocket WITH quick access from the side (great design, love to see TSA's reaction), plenty of internal pockets, easy adjustment, and new yoke & frame design. What's not my fav - MOLLE everywhere...considering this is supposed to be an EDC urban pack, not sure why MR added so many MOLLE??? I'd think the daisy chain from old gen 3DAP would suffice...but that's just me. This pack is a lot lighter than 3DAP and just a little smaller. Good size for EDC and also for the overnight travel. Fits perfectly under the economy class seat as well. I think MR nailed this, I have ASAP and 3DAP, now with addition of 2DAP I have something for every occasions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just what I was looking forThis bag for me is the perfect size as it is large enough to use as a stand alone weekend or minimalist travel and camping bag while not being too large to use daily. If you travel frequently by air you will appreciate the computer access zipper which is well designed, as well as its dimensions which are just small enough to fit in conventional airline underseat storage. The bag is the most well made bag of it's type I have seen and I feel is more than worth the price. It is also very comfortable to carry as a backpack when heavily loaded. I highly recommend it for rural, urban, or long haul travel use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Inside picturesHere's pictures of the bag completely flipped inside out. Tape measure is to show estimates of pocket depth or features that aren't made obvious like the space behind the 2 side mesh pockets or the elastic bands on either side of the laptop/water storage area.
