MYSTERY RANCH Brand Ambassador
Environmental & Adventure Journalist
I began my career as a conflict journalist, covering political and humanitarian crises across the Middle East and Central Asia. My beat ranged from Egypt to Iraq to Afghanistan. These days, I’ve shifted my focus to environmental reporting, because it has become clear to me that virtually every human conflict in our time has roots in competition for increasingly scarce resources. The stories I cover often take me into inhospitable terrain, from the jungles of Myanmar to the lawless savannahs of the Central African Republic.
"Back home in Montana, I’m always on the lookout for stories about the changing relationships between humans and the environment and all the conflict those relationships entail."
As a fly-fisherman, skier, mountain biker, and backpacker, I’m fortunate to spend months every year exploring the treasures of the mountain west. Sometimes, I even get to call it "work."
