Made in the USA
Rated 4 out of 5 by SoS24 from Great EDC packI love this pack. It is great for edc including day excursions and hikes. It is extremely comfortable. The molle makes it really versatile if need to increase capacity. I think the internal laptop pocket is a nice improvement over the original ASAP,. The blue/black colorway looks great. Love that is Made in the USA.There are only two things that would make it better in my opinion:- outside low profile water bottle pockets would be nice, but there are options to attach to the molle so not big deal- give the zipper mesh and smaller gusset pockets like the 2-Day Assault. As a military pack, like originally designed, the bigger bladder pockets are understandable. But as edc the better organization would be awesome.

Rated 4 out of 5 by FLYLIKEMIKE23 from LONG TIME WAITINGI Have been waiting a long time for MR to finally make this adjustment to the ASAP. Having a laptop sleeve added to the asap is a serious game changer. My only gripe would be the size. Feels smaller than 20L. Wish it were a tiny bit bigger at about 23L. Beggers can't be choosers so I can't complain. MR added the laptop sleeve so I can't really ask for much more. Plus MADE IN USA is freakin awesome. Definitely recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by camperbob from Compact and FuntionalCompact everyday use variation on Terra Frame 3-Zip 50 I have been using about a year. Blue/Black color scheme gives lends a conventional day pack unobtrusiveness for urban use but retains Molle attachment function for pouches/pockets. Currently using two Mystery Ranch water bottle carriers attached each side back panels. Interior pouch/pocket arrangement including tablet/device pouch quite functional also. Definitely satisfied with decision to add to gear stash.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Brett from An ideal daypack.I have a real thing for daypacks. If it's 2,000 cubic inches or smaller, I want to try it out. I have had a number of similar packs over the years; this handily ranks in the top three. For several years, I've used the crap out of a 3-Day Assault BVS pack. It's not pretty anymore, but it's never--ever--failed me. Nothing on it has broken. Several of the more enjoyable daypacks I've used have eventually broken somewhere along the line. I have no such concerns with this one.The ASAP SB has near-perfect EDC organization. If you're into or at least comfortable with internal bottle carriage, anyway. If you want external water bottle storage, you'll need to make use of the ample PALS webbing to add your own. I am comfortable with either; this bag's internal sleeves have adjustable tension straps. It's smart and useful. The laptop sleeve is a tremendously welcome addition to the ASAP design, and the hook and loop flapped tablet compartment is also useful for flat items that you don't want swimming in the main compartment. On top of the ASAP SB is the clamshell zippered stash pocket, which has a separate zippered sub-compartment in the top of the lid. This is great for things you need to stash and access quickly while still allowing some retention of small items that you don't want to spill out if you have to get into the thing quickly. In brief, the adjustable Futura yoke is still brilliant. Ignore the on-paper weight and pay attention to the real-world comfort and ease of use. This is an infinitely comfortable pack when fit to the user. Additionally, it's from an unimpeachable pedigree; I have absolutely no qualms about the durability of the bag. I used a Mystery Ranch pack in Afghanistan when I was FOB-hopping; it's still fit for service one decade, two continents, and thousands of miles later. My 3-DAP has been used and abused and shows no signs of slowing down, to say nothing of breaking. The ASAP SB has the same build quality. It's bomb-proof, as the internet review types often say. This pack carries all of my now-civilian routine stuff: Laptop, various cables, an organizer of various handy items, ever-present Rite-in-the-Rain note-taking gear, a warming or rain layer, a head lamp, and a water bottle. Not only does it carry all of this while still allowing for enough space to stow spontaneously-acquired odds and ends (say, you want to pick up a couple of bottles of wine at the grocery store; you won't need a separate bag, for example), it does so comfortably. And the blue nylon/black PALS webbing color way? Brilliant. It's still just as tough as the kit I carried in the Marines but doesn't look overtly like an assault pack.If you want to pack a spare set of clothes, this pack may not be the best recommendation, given its shape (a flat, clamshell-style pack like a GoRuck or Recycled Firefighter Battalion 24 may serve better for this application), but as a dedicated, indestructible, ludicrously comfortable daypack, the ASAP SB receives my highest recommendation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by violets dad from Working Field PackI bought this pack a couple months back for my work as a field biologist. Lots of off-trail bushwhacking and up and downs. I am getting old and my shoulders have started to give me problems. This ASAP pack carries well and carries more than you think. Has definitely been worth the coin.

Rated 5 out of 5 by pamc from very nearly perfectMy job requires extended periods outside and this pack is perfect for holding hydration/food options as well as some spare clothing and other odds and ends that I want close to hand. The size is perfect for being more useful than a ‘hydration pack’, but still small and portable. I like the laptop sleeve for organizing clipboards and papers and I think on balance it’s more useful to me than the interior molle panel of the military asap pack. The lower price and civilian color palette is a plus as well, compared to the mil-spec alternative. I use a size M mystery ranch Mission Control bag to organize small items and it fits nicely between a 2 liter hydro pack and a 20oz thermos. The pack seems very durable, like all MR products.

Rated 5 out of 5 by SkyB from It's a backpack!I honestly thought that it might be a little bigger, but while using it I found that its actually not bad at all. The only thing that kind of stumped me was how much this little thing was, but if I had to guess the reason, it'd be cost for quality. This pack feels way stronger and well put together than what I've purchased in the past, so I'm imagining it'll hold together very well!
