Our most versatile military pack.

The CREWCAB is our variable-capacity, do-anything military pack. It can be compressed into a low-profile, 1900 cu-in pack or expanded to 5000 cu-in. It can carry EOD gear, Pelican cases, robots, Load Cells, ammo cans, even casevacs in a pinch. For additional storage, add the DaypackLid. The CREWCAB excels at carrying weird loads well.

  • The NICE Frame is a rigid yet dynamic system that moves with you. The frame consists of three vertical and three horizontal carbon fiber stays and a full fabric panel between the stays that absorbs shock and increases the flexibility of the frame. This patented construction allows the frame to flex with your body, resulting in top-down load transfer to comfortably carry heavy loads. The Futura Yoke easily micro adjusts to the torso length allowing the proper amount of stand-off between the back and frame.
  • The BVS – Bolstered Ventilation and Stability system– allows for a stable, secure fit over body armor and can be easily removed.
  • Panel loading pocket for full access to internal contents
  • Flat front pocket and internal mesh detail pocket for essentials
  • Two tubular pockets
  • Bolsters can be easily removed
  • Compatible with the Daypack Lid which locks on loads that extend above the top of the frame
  • MYSTERY RANCH Load Cells are designed to fit perfectly in the CREWCAB
  • Bolsters can be easily removed
  • Built of custom spec’d 500D CORDURA® with Teflon® and PU coatings for maximum durability, UV, and weather protection
  • Water-repellent, IR Compliant YKK® zippers

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 10+ years and going strongDrove up to Bozeman 10 years ago to buy my Crewcab and frame. Have used it every year since on multiple high country hunts and this pack always delivers. Bought the load cells and flip top box accessories to make a great pack even better. Versatile enough for day hunts and 5 day excursions. The thing is bomb proof. It's the only pack I own.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great with one big exceptionThe pack is super high quality, however they removed the bladder reservoir from the back side of the panel, from the previous model. They say to use the two tubular pockets, which, as far as I can tell, don’t even have a feed through or a way to hang a bladder, rather they want u to feed though the zippers...how ridiculous. If I am missing something, Mystery Ranch can chime in and i’ll change my rating, otherwise, super poor decision making to remove the dedicated bladder reservoir it used to have.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from no better load-haulerSeven years now, couple dozen animals hauled, and my Crewcab is no worse for the wear. I've wrapped up elk quarters, buck halves, and full antelope & muley does; I've loaded it up with four days of gear & food for long approaches and rigorous alpine ascents; I've beaten the heck out of it... it just won't wear out. And it's comfy to carry, with a low profile when empty for crawling on the stalk. Best pack ever.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome packI have had this pack for 5 years now from whole deer and antelope you front and hind quarter on a elk. It's hauled everything I could stuff in it with 0 issues. These are a phenomenal pack.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great load carrying bagThis bag is great I’m glad I made the purchase. I had a marine filbe for a while with the plastic frame and shoulder assembly from the same company that makes the frames. I was incredibly disappointed. The marine issued pad set was way better than the pad set I had intended to use for the filbe. I’ll leave company names out of this to not upset mystery’s competition. So this led me to search for mystery NICE frames to use for my filbe and go that route. During my research on most of mystery’s bags and frames I found the crewcab and couldn’t stop going back to it. So I ended up buying myself one with a daypack lid. Now I can use the nice frame on my filbe or my crewcab. I could not be happier with my 2017 crewcab. It is the ultimate load carrying expansion pack. From hauling clothes or gear protected in my 1520 pelican case to running it slim with just my basic items loaded in the bag like an assault pack with a frame. It’s incredible. Go buy one if you are questioning it. You will not be disappointed. My only isssue with my generation bag is that I wish the side compression strap that compressed the clamshell, was mounted to the back of the clamshell panel where the top straps holding my pelican case are. For me to fully open my clamshell I have to release 4 buckles. My idea for future generations would be to mount them on the sides same location at the top and add a light strap (similar to chest strap on nice frame) to compress the clamshell itself if overloaded. I noticed the newest version crewcab is not full clamshell and you would only have to release the top 2 buckles to open the front bag fully but still has the same front clamshell strap mount. Hope this review helps anybody wanting to buy a crewcab. Just do it already! Thank you Mystery Ranch for your quality gear look forward to buying a 3 day assault pack for myself in the future!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great pack, only some slight improvementsOverall, I love the pack. The NICE Frame performs as advertised, reviewed, and expected. The model that I have still has the water bladder zipper pouch against the frame and I love it, not sure why you moved away from it. I also like the waist belt/strap, but think if you utilize the pulling forward cinches that you have on several of the hunting series packs it will make a more user friendly piece of equipment. I love how the clips work for going in and pop-ing out the side pieces when you want to increase the volume, it keeps everything very accessible in the two side pouches. However, the biggest complaint I have about the system is where the straps/buckles are located on the clamshell. They pinch down and prevent use of the main portion of the clamshell when the pack is tighten-d down, which is how every person who uses the pack for anything significant will have it. I understand that the spacing will then make everything a bit looser when the side pouches are folded in and clipped together, but this is a minor inconvenience compared to when you have a full load and will have to undo your entire pack in order to get to a specific item that is located in a pocket that is technically outside of the pack, just inaccessible due to the pack design.
