Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid pack for daily commuteI use it for the office and works great, looks great while discreet, and 18l format is perfect for laptop, docs and gym without being too bulky.Only place for improvement for me would be a removable sternum strap, as it’s not required on most days and ends up tangling on clothing/headphones more often.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Bag!I bought this for my 16 year old daughter who wanted a "real" backpack for, travel everyday school use, travel, and weekend hiking. She completely loves it! In her words, "Best small pack ever owned!" Great size for multiple activities.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great little EDC pack, few upgrades would be niceI recently bought this pack after much deliberation between it, the UA 21, and Robo Flip. Ultimately the smaller size is what I wanted for short trips and errands around town. Overall I love the simple, clean design, but think it could benefit from a couple small improvements... First, there are no attachment points on the outside of the pack. I really wish MR would add two strips of vertical webbing up either side of the front of the pack. This would allow to attach a bike light to, and add your own elastic cord to hold items on the outside if wanted, while keeping the design clean and simple. Secondly, as another has mentioned, I really wish the chest strap was removable. I never use those things, and it's kind of annoying to have on there. Now the good - The materials are high quality and seem very durable, as with all MR. I really appreciate how they keep the amount of stitching/thread on the outside of the pack to a minimum. The pack straps are a nice firmer foam that isn't too flimsy when you load it up with some heavy electronics. I love that they kept the large zipper pulls, I won't buy any of their packs with out them (where they just your rope/cord). The inside pockets are great and handy, through the stitching along their zippers looks a little cheaper than the rest of the pack (low stitch-count). I wish they offered more colors in this one like they do the 21, but overall it's an almost perfect little companion. Fits me fine and I'm 6'2".

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great fit and designI'm very pleased with my Urban Assault bag. Purchased mainly for bicycle. commuting, its the right size for my change of cloths, lunch, bike lock and a repair kit. Top pocket great for phone and wallet. The full length zipper is brilliant make for easy access to all contents without emptying everything out. I've tested the durability and weather resistance in all conditions and its holds up very well, finally a bag that I don't need to pack my clothes in a ziplock in order to have a dry shirt at work for the day.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Chest strap attachments not as shown, no hydrationOverall the design and construction are excellent, but the chest strap attachments shown on the MR website are the usual removable kind, and those on the pack are non-removable molded plastic. I don’t think it’s a lot to ask that the pictures match the product. The lack of a hydration port is also a really bonehead move, because virtually every backpack comes with this feature these days, and omitting it unnecessarily limits the usefulness of the pack, especially when you include an internal strap that appears designed to suspend a hydration bladder. If they wanted to keep the lines clean, they could even put the port on the mesh bottom of the top pocket, allowing you to run your hydration tube out of the top pocket zipper.Generally speaking, as a 5’11” male, I would also say that 19” is the maximum back length for someone my height who intends to run with the pack. If anything, it is better to err on the side of short with a beltless pack, because once a pack goes past the lumbar it will tend to bounce and pull on your shoulders more as you stride. That said, I suppose most people don’t run with backpacks. Not sure why.Overall, this pack gets a three because the chest straps weren’t as shown, omitting a hydration port was obnoxious, and together these points show a lack of the characteristic thoughfullness that one is told to expect from the MR brand. The new 24 might be better, but I’m not buying another pack when the first one I bought wasn’t as shown.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Everyday Bag!This bag is perfect for all the everyday things you do. Going to the gym, the office, shopping or site seeing. Construction is top notch with first rate materials. I’ll probably have to buy another one so my daughter won’t steel mine.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from BeefyThis pack is a solid little number. I'm a short petite type and thought this would be the perfect size. It feels a little small but the materials are substantial. I will say the three zip design on this size adds complexity to the pack that it doesn't need. It's small enough that I feel I don't need the extra zippers to get to the bottom. In the larger versions, I think it makes more sense. Also, the zippers are huge on this. Though it looks like they'll work for the long haul, it doesn't seem necessary. Speaking more about the zippers...mine are tough to work and not smooth moving. The vertical zipper always gets caught in the area where the material from the other two zippers connect, taking some extra muscle to get it to open, which is somewhat annoying already and I just received it. I will say the shoulder straps are incredible comfortable and well padded. I am very happy with the fit. I researched bags like crazy to finally decide on this one. I have no doubt it will last but I'm not too sure how user friendly it is because of the zippers and that factor often determines how much an item is used and enjoyed.
