Body armor accessory strap for better carry.

Packs and body armor can be a painful combination. This modular cinch strap is designed to reroute the shoulder pads of a pack down the front of your IBA, MTV, or other body armor to ease chafe, bleeding and nerve damage keeping the pressure off of your armpits and allowing you to quickly drop your pack with a single, quick release buckle.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Plastic tab snap is a point of failureI have purchased four of these and they work but you better have backup plastic tabs because the snap attached to the plastic tabs is a point of failure as I unfortunately found out when I went to attach a brand new cinch. The snap on one of the plastic tabs immediately failed and was not possible to repair. Failure is a rivet like fastener that attaches the metal snap to the plastic tab, which is a high stress point. I contacted Mystery Ranch to notify them and they requested I send the failed unit back and exchange.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent productThe Mystery Cinch arrived faster than I expected. Upon inspection, I discovered that the quick disconnect fasteners were made out of metal instead of cheap plastic. The multicam colors were a little off from the rest of my gear but otherwise matches up fairly well. Although the stitching is single stitched, it seems to be very sturdy. The straps are long enough for even the largest chests. Overall, it is an excellent product and one that I would highly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Must have for Plate Carriers! If you often run a pack in conjunction with a plate carrier this is a must have! For those that say you can't run this on a JPC: I beg to differ as it works perfectly fine on mine. The only issue I see is it causing straps to overlap the mag pouches, but I imagine this would occur on most other carriers as well. Overall the product does what it says, keeps the shoulder straps consolidated and out of the way, absolutely recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Must-haveIf you're wearing a pack over body armor, this thing is an absolute game changer. I used it primarily with the Mystery Ranch 3-day assault pack, though it does not require a Mystery Ranch pack, and has worked with all of the plate carriers I have used.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Clutch on long missionsI’ve had the Mystery Cinch on my body armor/plate carrier since ‘12. Long dismounts with 100 lbs total. This product solves a key problem. If you’re wearing body armor, a normal pack’s sternum strap is up around your neck and the strap isn’t strong enough. The Mystery Cinch solves this by integrating to your body armor. Plus, it has a quick disconnect that is easy to function with gloved hands in case you’re in close contact (or submerged) and have to dump your pack. I’ve humped a pack all over AFG and this cinch is worth its weight in gold (or orange RipIts).

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Does not work on a JPCSeems like it would be an awesome product if it actually worked on a plate carrier, but unfortunately seems to be designed for the huge cumbersome body armor worn by big military. Doesn’t work with a Crye JPC and most likely won’t work with any another Plate Carrier.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does as intendedI've used this multiple times and it does exactly what it's supposed to. With rucks up to 70 lbs, this cinch kept the weight from digging into the arms while keeping the weight on the front plate. At that weight, the cinch releases your ruck with VIGOR but also means the shoulder straps are loose enough to slide around your shoulder if you need the pack off quickly!
