When we first heard about Bridger Bowl’s new chair lift and terrain expansion for the 08-09 ski season we decided we needed to build a new pack to go with it.
The Saddle Peak pack is the best ski and snowboard pack we’ve ever built. It perfectly combines the features needed for the backcountry with the volume of an inbounds pack. This design is ideal for the type of terrain that will be accessible from the new Schlashman’s lift where avy gear is required.
The pack is a shallow, panel-loading design that maintains a low profile on your back. A separate exterior compartment with individual sleeves keeps your shovel, probe and snow saw stashed behind a zippered panel. This provides a totally secure compartment that is incredibly quick to access, With a very stable diagonal ski carry and vertical snowboard carry, this pack is a dream on the boot pack.
