The METCALF 50 is the pack you want loaded and sitting shotgun in your hunting rig all season. With the ULTRA LIGHT MT™ frame and women’s specific harnessing - it will handle all the weight you can throw at it. The METCALF 50 is light enough to carry as a daypack, but strong enough to help you pack out your animal. Keep your essentials close and easily accessible in the detachable lid or remove the lid all together and run with a smaller pack. The roll top closure easily cinches down and securely clips to either the side or front of the pack, while the side zip allows quick access to all your big items.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A lot to like, but so loud!Im on my second season with this pack, and there is a lot to like about it - comfortable even with weight, well designed and a good adaptable size. Unfortunately, the pack is very creaky. Even when I'm sitting perfectly still, my breathing makes the whole thing creak loudly. OK for rifle hunting, but very annoying for archery, because I have to hold my breath when listening for calls. It was pricy, so probably won't update any time soon but hoping its quieter by the time I buy again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Metcalf 50We started moose hunting 4 years ago, tryed different bags or racks. Hands down, the Metcaf 50 it the best bag to get the job done. We usually bushwalk for hours back and fourth until the entire moose is packed out. This year was a game changer. I would recommand this bag to any hunter who's walking out quarters of meat.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Make it work, ladies make it work!!!I already own a pop-up 30 I was having capacity issues in last year’s hunt and was not able to carry everything I wanted while Hunting.I considered the pop-up 40 but was still concerned about capacity issues.So I decided to buy the Metcalf 50.Clearly, this frame is built for tall people, and even utilizing the smaller attachments further down the frame to accommodate a short person, I have a kidult body no taller than 4’9.I removed the Metcalf pack from its original frame, removed the original pack from my pop-up frame and placed the Metcalf path onto the frame of my pop-up 30. It took a little bit of finagling, but I got it to work.Now I have the capacity I need on my pop-up frame still using that as a meat hauler and ideally, I will be able to pack more for my 2025 Hunt season.As for the Metcalf frame, I may hold onto it or I may sell it not real sure which it’s not usable to me. The top of the frame towers over my head and is non-adjustable in its height. I’m happy I was able to switch packs and still maintain my meat hauler pop-up frame.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple and durableI bought this a month ago and it it by far the best hunting pack I have ever owned. For anyone wanting to carry heavy loads in and out this pack is a game changer! I highly recommend picking up a Metcalf for your heavy hauls.
