Rated 5 out of 5 by Jeff from Comfortable with a loadHad the pack for a month now and been on 6 training hikes loaded with 4 days of gear, little under 50 pounds, and so pleased with the comfort of this pack - much better than my prior packs. Also appreciate the thought that went into to the design and the ability to pack out an animal after a successful hunt - can’t wait to put this feature to use this fall. Really pleased with the thoughtful design, comfort, features and quality build.

From packing it with 1 day worth of basic gear (survival, knives, gamebags, spotting scope. Etc... this pack is awesome. Functionality is spot on so far and I love the adjustment features im 6'3" 220lbs. L/XL pack fits great. Pockets are plentiful, when I thought i was out the front pockets were still empty. Easy 2-3 day bag if you have the right overnight gear. 10/10 so far. Its also a pretty sexy look. Just saying

Rated 5 out of 5 by WLaw from new version is a upgrade IMOI've been running the original mystery ranch metcalf for years as a day pack (removed the lid and cinched the straps down tight) and for multidays. Overall the volume on the sawtooth 65 is going to be slightly less, but the organization options, adjustability, and waterproofing are a huge upgrade.I am using this bag as a day hunt bag, but also for 1-3 nights. It seems like it will work well for both, but will likely be limited beyond 3 nights max unless you pack gear in the the meat shelf. Overall i am really happy with the updates and would continued to my old pack or switch to a different brand if they didnt include a thing things i really like:1. molle webbing goes the entire waistband. last version of metclaf didnt have that, which was a miss in my opinion. 2. more outside pockets without needing to rock a lid -- specifically for day hunts. 3. better materials for waterproofing (I hunt in the PNW a lot). Overall solid updates. NIce work mystery ranch. Cant wait to put it use for turkey and spring bear.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Joey from Incredibly useful and well thought out product.Did a pretty hard core week long backpacking / hunting trip in Utah and the sawtooth 65 was great for the job, I’ve been hunting for 35 years and this is my favorite pack yet. This pack is extremely comfortable for long treks. *Pack fly is needed for this set up, it’s not 100% waterproof.

Rated 5 out of 5 by RBalver from Solid PackThe pack is solid. Good materials and seems tough. Been trucking here and there with it for almost a month now and about 25-30 miles with 50lbs in the meat shelf.Some complain about a squeak but mine hasn’t really squeaked much. Very comfortable pack.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Gary from Great overall pack for the price.I bought this pack for my Idaho Elk hunt. It did very well and was spacious for my needs. I did use it as a day pack. Unfortunately we didn't get to try out the meat hauling capabilities, but feel confident it would have handle the load.
