Rated 5 out of 5 by dirty joe from Exactly what i expectedCarried this as a day pack on a 10 day walkabout of japan. It’s a solid, lightweight and incognito pack that always had room.i used it to carry my daily stuff (sweatshirt, 32oz water, misc stuff) and then to carry various packages i picked up and it just kept getting deeper.it rained 75% of the time and not a thing on the inside was wet.the side pouches fit a nalgene perfectly.was a little worried i’d feel the edges of random stuff i had in my back but there’s good structure and didn’t feel a thing.not much in terms of compartments.in the end, a lightweight, low key pack that’s easy to carry for kong’s days, water resistant, and plenty of space for a good walkabout.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Rubbertoe from Great sized travel/daypack, so-so harnessI bought this as an upgrade to my old standby pack for a little more size as a carry on. I've been a fan of the tri-zip design for a while - having that easy access to the contents is fantastic. The size pockets have a durable stretch fabric that will accommodate everything from a nesting cup to a 40oz stainless bottle, which is a great feature. My only real knock is the pared down harness - you can fit quite a bit in this pack, but it sure isn't comfortable to carry once it's loaded down. I get that it makes the bag lighter, and could even pack into a larger backpack, but a more padded harness would make this pack much more comfortable for those long days. I'll probably make some sort of additional padding in the future.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Beatrice from geat small packhave had the pack a couple weeks now and have only gotten to use it once for a xc ski tour and liked it. Have been looking for a smaller daypack (18-22 ltrs) for sometime and I was glad MR brought out the Gallagator; liked the 3 zipper feature, but until the Gallagator came out, it was only on larger packs which I already have plenty of- so love that feature! the only things I wish the pack had were a padded waistbelt and padded shoulders, especially if maxing out the pack with stuff. The quality is top notch, of course, it is light and simple and the foliage color is awesome- blends in w/out being camo. I look forward to spring-fall hikes w/ it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Firefighter217 from Amazing little packI bought this a little over a month ago for planned use on a trip as a carryon bag that didn't have to go in an overhead compartment. I have since been using it prior to the trip and have been loving it! I use this bag every day as my EDC now and it works great as an overnight bag as well. I am thoroughly impressed with the features such as the side bottle pockets (this little pack can hold 2 32oz Nalgenes with no problem!), and the zippered and leash top pocket that is great for keys and other crucial items. I have been recommending this to all my friends that have asked and am considering another one in a different color for off road trail riding! Another awesome pack that is well designed and well crafted by MR.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Camcam from For alpine/klettersteige climbBought this to use for klettersteige/alpine over nighter in Germany. My goal is to go minimalist on this particular trip. Size is perfect internally for required gear and emergency survival. Only thing I would have liked is a flexible internal option. Even something similar to the issued assault pack hard removable plastic insert. Color is great as well

Rated 3 out of 5 by CLW1 from Not what i was expectingFirst off, I love the colors of this pack, I got the blue with brown zippers. Well this pack isn't what I was expecting, I was disappointed that the shoulder straps or not padded and that the zippers were not the waterproof zippers. I was also hoping for something a little bit bigger as I need a pack for Canyon operations with our fire department and I was hoping this the bill. I was expecting something a little closer in size and features to the 2-day pack that I already have and love. This will not work for me but it might be a good pack for just a day hiker.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Photog from Outstanding!Exactly what I've been looking for. A smallish day pack that will still hold a good amount, and it has the great tri-zip feature, which is a first for me. Very cool! And the side elastic pockets are actually big enough to hold my Nalgene Oasis canteens, which is a rarity in a day pack. I removed the waist belt and chest strap, as I never found a need for them on packs that aren't designed to hold 30-40pounds of gear. Might also remove the two compression straps as I like to keep my packs simple. Most people will probably love them though since they'll allow you to carry a rain jacket or whatever on the outside of the pack for quick availability. This pack has a good sized zippered pocket on the top too, which is great to have. The only thing I MIGHT change is to pad the shoulder straps a little, but there does seem to be something, however slight, in them. Because when I compress the strap between two fingers I can feel a very slight cushion effect. VERY slight. Must be the way it's designed. But he straps are wide enough anyway that they're comfortable on their own with a light load.
