Rated 1 out of 5 by Rimfire71 from ...so disappointingIf this product is representative of the new Mystery Ranch, I'm afraid this is the beginning of the end for the Mystery Ranch I have loved all of these years. Where to begin... The magnets on the flap are weak and misaligned. The materials are not up to MR standards. I should mention that I own all previous models of the Rip Ruck series. This pack doesn't come close to previous materials and workmanship. That material on the front of the bag (is that supposed to be MOLLE) won't be usable for very long. In my experience that material is easily stretched and torn. That renders, whatever that was added for completely useless. The one thing that I first noticed about this pack is that, unlike every other MR pack to date, the tabs that aid in the zipping of the zippers are missing. I could go on, but... It's kind of like going to the market and buying (insert product name here) your favorite item to find that instead of getting the 16 oz bag, you now only get 10oz for 35% more money. Hello Yeti...Too bad Mystery Ranch.

Rated 5 out of 5 by epc73 from Great bag--darn near perfect.I bought this bag looking for something that would serve a multitude of purposes: my commute to the office with laptop/portable monitor/lunch/water bottle, light day hikes, exploring a new city, and maybe even stand in when I needed a snowboarding backpack. This bag can truly do it all, where a few others that I checked out couldn't. It's well made, and clearly the Mystery Ranch team has taken to heart some of the feedback on the outgoing Rip Ruck bags (which I also checked out). While I would have appreciated some of the organizational pockets on the interior sides of the pack similar to the outgoing version of the Rip Ruck 15, I think the new features outweigh any of that: better & easier to use zippers, water bottle pockets on both sides, shielded zippers, and an updated look that's sleek and tough without looking too tactical with the laser cut molle on the outside panel. I checked out the 15L and 20L and ultimately decided the bigger 20L bag served my needs a little better (there's not much exterior size difference when empty) but the smaller Rip Ruck 15 is pretty sweet too. Also really appreciate the Shadow colorway, it looks great & doesn't look as tactical as a black backpack would. Very happy with my first Mystery Ranch purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by 406butcher from Great man purse!I’ve had this pack now for a couple months. It works great for daily carry items. A man purse if you will. I can easily carry a change of clothes for after work, headphones, wallet, leatherman, sometimes a pistol, snacks, lunch, a book, contacts and glasses. It works great for taking the kids on a little hike or to an event also. Snacks, waters, jackets, books, diapers, etc. Not too big or too small for most daily things. Zippers are easy to use and convenient. Only thing I’d change is maybe a couple more interior zipper pockets for organization and a couple straps on the outside for lashing jackets or fishing poles on. Looks nice and clean too. For those dads of young kids, it sure beats the heck out of carrying something that looks like a diaper bag!

Rated 2 out of 5 by Enrique from Not what it used to be. Unfortunately the Ripruck is not what it used to be. I bought the 15L backpack during my deployment early last year and that pack ROCKED! I bought this pack in hopes to get a tad bit extra storage space but still have the same bag and was extremely disappointed. The magnetic closure is nowhere near as strong, the bag quality feels not up to par with typical mystery ranch bags, In fact oddly enough I think I get less storage space in this bag than the previous 15L model. The shoulder padding is still pretty great, the extra side pouch, and the Molly webbing would have been excellent additions to the previous model bag. If they would’ve added those things and kept everything the same about last year’s model this bag would be a dream. This review hurts because I’ve been an avid mystery ranch users for a few years now and have always had my expectations blown out of the water. This is the first product I would not recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Hunter from All around great packI use this product as my flight pack at work. Its big enough to fit my laptop, portfolio, and other electronics accessories and tools I need on job. It's compact enough that it doesn't take up too much space in the company vehicle stuffed with aircraft, battery cases, tools, etc. The pack is quite durable... and it looks great. I love it!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Hey dude from Great bag light on features.Been running this edc for about a month and am plenty happy with it. Tough in the right places, slim, keeps me from carrying too much junk. I would like to see a few more features if I’m being particular, would like to see small pen/light pouc with dividers, a small exterior pouch between the shoulder straps, interior d-ring, extra foam on the bottom end of the laptop sleeve.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Louisarmedstrong from Simple back pack for EDCMy 17 inch laptop fits snug into the laptop compartment. It fits all my laptop and other work gears for everyday. If you need to carry any more, I would go bigger but for the minimal sized bag for minimal carry, it actually holds large screen laptop and the carger. I havent fount the use for the front molle panel yet but I like the look of it.
