The design still needs some more refinement. I realize this new version of holster is made to adjust to the huge size different in the BKR radio when it has a clamshell on vs a rechargeable. The holster looks to be primarily built around the size of the BKR with a clamshell. The adjustable Velcro side straps are high enough to hold the radio securely and keep the radio from rocking out of the holster. The adjustable over the top buckle is long enough to cinch down tight and keep the radio securely in place. All side buttons and MIC attachments are accessible in the holster. The secure look and feel is a little less when reduced down to fit the same radio with a rechargeable battery. The adjustable Velcro side straps are basically at the bottom of the radio, and without the over the top buckle in place and tightened, it easily rocks out of the holster. Similarly the adjustable buckle is bottomed out already right out of the package, and as it breaks in, I expect will become loose with no more strap to tighten it up. It will definitely work for both radio setups, but doesn't seem to be as secure in the smaller configuration.
