Rated 2 out of 5 by soulguide from Great Features, Terrible FitI wish I could give this pack 5 stars. I am 5'6" with a very short torso. I have been researching backpacks for months, trying to find something smaller than 15" for me 14" torso. I finally found Mystery Ranch, and then t was recommended to me by a professional guide. I was excited to finally find something that could work for my larger pack needs, also as a professional guide.I took this pack on a 5 day, 42 mile trip down the Paria River in southern Utah last week. I was completely disappointed in the size and fit of this pack. If you are a woman with a torso shorter than 15", save yourself the trouble and DO NOT order this pack. The sizing on the website says it fits down to a 13" torso. The pack may adjust down to 13" on the frame, but the designers of the pack didn't adjust anything else proportionally, so the shoulder straps hung two inches above my shoulders at the tightest adjustment, and it was still too long for my torso, causing the weight load to be incredibly awkward for the entire trip. Also, the hip belt was too wide and uncomfortable Unfortunately, the designers of this pack got it seriously wrong for short waisted women. We are not large men. I am average height at 5'6", and I was super excited to finally find this pack after months of research online. For my day job as a professional guide, I use a Gregory Jade 38, which fits great. For longer backpacking trips as a guide, I wanted something more durable and larger, so I was on a quest to find the perfect pack. When I saw on the website that this pack would fit a 14" torso, I was sold. Everything else I could find only went down to 15", and I had already ordered and returned a couple other brands. Unfortunately, my excitement turned to disappointment when my pack was full and ready for the trip. Since I can't return it due to using it once, I will have to try and sell it. I give this pack two stars instead of one because there are many features I love about the Mystery Ranch Women's Bridger 65.Things I love:The hip belt pockets were easily accessible to zip open and shut as I was hikingThe detachable lid was fabulous - I had my ditty bag and emergency supplies in it and every little thing I needed was at my fingertips, day and night. The outside zipper area has two pockets that work great for trash, tp, and other things I wanted to have separated from the main area. There was plenty of room inside the pack with all the adjustable strapsMany ways to clip and hang things from the outside of the pack as well. Things I did not love:Again, pack size was ridiculously big, despite being advertised that it would fit a woman with a short torso The running vest feature for women is a colossal fail. Because the pack was overall too large, I could only connect the bottom strap-connecting the top one would have choked me. Also, women have very different chest sizes, and the design team needs to realize that women are not men, and allow for more adjustment on those straps that go across the chest. Boob smashing for over 40 miles is not super pleasant.

Rated 3 out of 5 by KK Montana from Love the design, doesn't fit a large chest.I tried this pack on and no matter how hard I tried with a (female forest firefighter/backpacker) salesperson, we could not get this pack to fit my chest. I am a 36DD. That being said I ended up with a Glacier instead and it was fantastic on a 5 day trip.

Rated 5 out of 5 by KaylaMay from Excellent pack!I am super picky with features and comfort, and this pack checked off all my boxes! It has the most cushioned waist belt I’ve seen, and the chest straps were perfectly positioned. I was between sizes and ultimately sized down which was the right decision. Already took it out and love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by EmilyP from The Best BagI'm absolutely in love with this bag. The adjustable frame and different sizing IN ADDITION TO the thoughtful design elements that make backpacking as a woman all the easier makes this my instant favorite. The chest strap avoids smashing my boobs, and the waist strap distributes the bulk of the pack's weight to my hips without being awkwardly fitted--so comfortable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Randy from Comfortable and well madeWe bought both the men's and women's Bridger 65 packs. We have only had the opportunity to use them on a couple of short overnight trips. But so far we love them. They are comfortable, full of features and well constructed. Looking forward to using them on longer trips later this year.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ash26 from Comfortable and Convenient!I just took this pack on a 3-day pack packing trip and it did not disappoint! This pack sits great on the hips, and the three sets of straps (waist, chest, and sternum) makes it very secure for a nice, comfortable hike. The pockets and front access were also convenient. If you’re debating whether this pack is worth the extra weight, it is.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Memejohn from I love Mystery Ranch packs but this one is no goodBased on the reviews, it doesn't seem like this pack fits anyone well regardless of chest size, torso size or height. I am petite and the water bottle holders say almost above my breasts and under my armpits. It didn't fit my torso which is 15 inches or sit right on my waist. This is not recommended for anyone.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Trish03 from Very comfortable pack!I took the pack for a spin on a weekend snow camping trip. I was definitely impressed with how comfortable it was to wear! Lots of padding around my hips and the pack fits my torso. I also enjoyed the easy access pouch in the front. The side straps were great to hold my water bottles in. The chest pouches weren't used much this time but I can see it being handy to put my bear spray in during warmer seasons. There are a few things I wish was different. One was that the bottom zippered area is too small. It would be better for me if it was wider so I can pull out my sleeping bag out easier. Second thing was the excess waist straps. I wish there was something to keep them from hanging down as there is a lot of extra strap. Although I really like how I pull forward to cinch. Finally I wish the straps on the bottom front were longer so I can strap on a sleeping mat or snowshoes to them. They're too short. All in all the fact that this pack is so comfortable, I can forgive these little wishes. I would recommend this pack!
