Rated 5 out of 5 by from My wife loves my VLAK sack!Great medical bag, had to buy another before my better half stole mine, caught her eyeballing it when I was stuffing it with a bunch O medical goodness. Her eyes do kinda go in different directions but she is shady so better just to get her one also before mine went a missing. Lots of room and great organization options and easy to open and close. Very well made, no surprise all of their gear is. Rumor has it spooky bearded dudes run this MR gear, and for good reasons, it works when you need it and holds up to those special operations when you're out and about for a while winning hearts and minds....

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A spacious medical pouch with limitless config…I am a US Navy Independent Duty Corpsman (IDC) and I am currently using the Nice Rats for a medbag which is the best bag on the market btw! IDCs fill a wide variety of roles and must be able to adapt to whatever the current mission dictates. That is where the VLAK comes in clutch. Currently it sits mounted to the side of my Nice Rats mimicking supplies in my bag but providing easy access in an emergency. In a moments notice I can dismount the bag and through it crossbody or attach it to a part of my plate carrier or even on my warbelt. There is also plenty of space for treating multiple trauma patients and with an easy layout of pockets you can keep the bag organized and easy to find things.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best bag for what it doesI've written a couple extensive reviews of the VLAK on various social media sites. I bought mine a year ago as a patrol medic bag to ride up front with me in my cruiser. I'd had it less than a week when it had its' baptism of fire. It worked as advertised, which is to say phenomenally. I've used it on calls many times since, and am in the process of getting it approved as the standard issue aid bag for every car in our department. I was in the market for an aid bag that held roughly double what a large IFAK would carry. A shoulder strap was a requirement, so it could be donned and doffed quickly over normal patrol gear or a plate carrier. I do have a couple very minor complaints, largely centered around the layout of the elastic webbing inside, but they are not enough to sway me against this bag. It is, simply put, the best bag on the market for the role it fills. Buy it with confidence and use the heck out of it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Handy!Very versatile - I used it in Afghanistan as a bleeder bag/ CLS type bag on my IOTV or slung across my shoulder for quick access without dropping my medic bag and worked great! Easy to deploy, easy to close up and the layout inside is common sense. You can stuff quite a bit inside this bag too. Variety of mounting options is great too. Well made!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unmatched Quality & FuncionalityI have used Mystery Ranch products for about two decades, including three years in AFG. They have never disappointed. I am now a physician assistant supporting the Afghan refugees and purchased a dozen of these for my paramedics. We are caring for over ten thousand refugees and these bags are carried daily in addition to a larger aid bag in the vehicle. It carries all the essentials for responding to a patient in need.As an aside, when my son graduated college (he is now a nuclear engineer for DoD) I bought him a full kit of camping gear. On of the pieces I bought him was a Terraplane rucksack that was a display piece for an outdoors shop going out of business. Just like all of Mystery Ranch products, it was signed on the tag inside by the person that built it. This particular ruck was signed by Dana Gleason. My son treasures this, not only for it’s nostalgic value, he actually uses it.I am an enthusiastic supporter of Mystery Ranch for both recreational and combat equipment.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bigger than it appearsI was skeptical at first and bought the VLAK just to see if it would be good for a vehicle load out or other area. As soon as I got it I realized it was deceptively larger with out being big or bulky. Inset mine up for the ability to handle 5 trauma PX. I had plenty of space for NPA’s, chest darts, etc. I also attached to the exterior a rappel harness, figure 8’s ascenders, some carabiners and 30’ of tubular nylon given what I use it for use. It zipped right up. Good kit. I recommend it
