Rated 5 out of 5 by Tswizzle from Quality materialI bought this bag to use as a carry-on while traveling for work. The first thing I noticed was that quality of the material it's very thick nice "canvas". I got the smallest size and have to say I can comfortably fit an extended weekends worth of clothes plus computer and hygiene products in it. The straps pack away very nicely and keeps it a clean look. The zippers are nice and strong and I am not concerned about them breaking. The only complaint I had about the bag is I believe it would be better without the bottom pocket at all and just keep the top (still a great bag) if you fill both the top and bottom pockets you have no room in the main cavity to pack anything else. Highly recommend

Rated 4 out of 5 by Jake from Amazing QualityI bought this as a travel pack for work. I was tired of carrying one check bag and a carry on. I went with this hoping I could take as stow above carry on, so far I haven't had any issues with it fitting in over head bins and I've taken some of the smallest jets airlines have. It easily fits 3 days worth of clothes and my work boots, could probably squeeze 5 days in there with some well thought out packing. The only 2 downfalls to the pack are; there's no place to store a bottle and there's not great, easily accessible storage for small things like gum, headphones, etc. Would def. buy again though!

Rated 5 out of 5 by db8765 from VersitileI have had this for a couple of months and primarily use it to take with me to the gym in the morning with my work cloths packed inside. It's got plenty of room and compartments. If you ever go a trip for a couple of days, it will be a perfect companion over a suitcase. Extremely well made and comfortable. One of my favorite features is the storable backpack straps. I only keep the one for my right shoulder out and since it has a support strap that attaches to the top of the bag, it stays balanced with no sagging. The straps are very comfortable with plenty of padding. In short, if you want something with plenty of space, plenty of storage compartments, and versatile, this is a great bag!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Chap from Best bag I’ve owned.I live out of a duffel bag. I work public safety and am on duty 4-7 days at a time. This bag is great for just a few things or if I want to bring everything in the world for about 5 solid days with workouts. Great features and the backpack straps are more comfortable than I had anticipated. Mystery ranch duffel is what I’d expect from the brand than made such quality line gear. Also someone in a prior review complained about the way that the straps are secured. I found that complaint unfounded, since they are also secured by webbing, both on the top and bottom. Should be plenty strong for any normal load.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Chris from My first MR - definitely not my last!I bought the black 55L last year in Tokyo after months of online research about the best duffel. It's turned into an irreplaceable component of all my international travels.I go abroad 6+ times every year with various airlines and packages (from full service long-haul with check-in suitcases, to regional low-cost-carriers with no check-in). Regardless of the destination and consequent luggage I take with me, this duffel always comes along. Most airlines in Asia have a maximum carry-on limitation of 115cm (L+W+H) in dimension. The 55L Mission Duffel blows this out of the water at about 152cm(79x41x32cm) however you can fold/mash this into any luggage-limitation moulds they may have at the check-in counter(you may have to take some items out if it's full). Past that, this has always fit into the cabin of every airplane I've been on despite often being packed to the brim. The volume is perfect for a week-long trip anywhere, and the bottom compartment is perfect for any dirty clothes/shoes. The liners on the inside leave you with plenty of room for organization with good visibility as soon as you unzip. The only criticisms I have are:-If you are going to use this bag as much as I do, I recommend buying a supplemental shoulder strap pad for when you carry this as a duffel on the shoulder. It seems the R&D money stopped short of the strap(backpack straps are fine though)-I wish the compartment at the top of the bag wasn't so big, as you sometimes need to fish out your passport/change/keys/headphones/battery charger/etc., and you have to go elbow-deep and out-of-sight to get it.That said, this is an absolutely fantastic pack with a clean design. I hope I never have to buy another duffel again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from Quality to be expected from MRI have the 90L and itâs about as nice as a duffel can be. High quality and the strap system is pretty cool. Looks sharp to boot. Even with that price tag would buy again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from Mystery Ranch makes the best duffel out thereI own a lot of gear, and a lot of it is Mystery Ranch gear. I love all of their products but felt seriously let down by the Cube Master duffels, which are let down by some strange hardware choices. Enter the Mission Duffel. This thing is phenomenal. The construction is rock-solid (as you'd expect from a Mystery Ranch bag). The materials are great, and I particularly love the "heathered" twill-like look of the fabric on these bags, which is also waterproof. And unlike the Cube Master, the D-rings and other hardware on this bag work flawlessly. This is also a really cleverly designed bag, with some great features that set it apart even from outstanding competitors like the Patagonia Black Hole and The North Face Base Camp duffels. At each end of the bag are two zippered pockets: one bigger one at the "bottom" end of the bag (when worn as a backpackâmore on that later) for shoes to keep them away from clothes, and another at the "top" end of the bag for stashing books, toiletries, or other stuff you need to get to quickly. The horseshoe pocket is perfect: the bag keeps its shape when empty and opens wide for easy packing. There are also two zippered mesh pockets on the lid for storing little items, which is a great addition. In short: lots of organization options, tons of storage. One thing that really sets this bag apart from its competitors are the backpack straps. Unlike the Patagonia and The North Face duffels, where backpack straps feel like an afterthought, the Mystery Ranch team clearly led with that feature, because the straps are crazy-comfortable and the bag carries really nicely on your back, especially if you pack it intelligently and put the heavy stuff close to your back. If you need a travel companion that absolutely will not let you down, this is it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by OPak from 40L duffel is a fantastic travel pack. This is a stellar "one bag" carry-on travel pack. I have used this bag for 8 day trips with no issues at all. The backpack straps are amazing, very well built and have shown no wear and tear after loading and traveling with 41lbs in the bag. The opening U-zipper design is another great touch and makes packing/ finding items inside an ease. The two zippers can also be used as a lop loader configuration. Photos are of the 40L bag with a rain cover over it. The only wish I have for the bag for "me" to be perfect would be the addition of the laptop sleeve on the opening flap/ same panel as the backpack straps.
