Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally, a day pack for tall people.I’ve taken this pack on a few long day hikes and it is perfect. I’m 6’2” with a 25” torso. Every pack I’ve found before this one has maxed out at 22”. I’m constantly adjusting them and always end the day with a sore back. After hours of research I bought the Coulee 30 because of its ability to adjust up to 24”. It seriously made such a big difference. As I mentioned, I’ve done several long hikes with this pack now, no adjustments needed and no sore back. I love it. Their zipper design and easy access to gear no matter where it is in the pack is phenomenal as well. Well built, looks good and very comfortable. I highly recommend this brand if your like me, and have never found a comfortable pack.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great QualityI wanted a pack I could use for a day hike, in the airport, or for hunting. While this pack is limited in internal dividers, I was able to use void bags to separate items. I found this to work even better than what I thought I needed with internal pockets and zippers, etc. Attaching a bag to the loops on the inside top gives me a second quick access pocket, just by ripping the lid open. The quality is fantastic, as expected from Mystery Ranch. I wish there were a few more color options, and I wish there were more connection points on the inside, side of the pack for another Quick Attach Zoid. But now I'm just being overly picky. Overall, fantastic product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from As good as the 25?At the time of this writing, the Coulee 30 is still new and has no existing review. Since neither I nor anyone else has had much time to thoroughly field test it, I’ll provide my experience with using the Coulee 25 for the past 3 years, and my initial impressions of how the 30 compares to the 25.The Coulee 25 has been my go-to hiking, day pack, and travel pack for most situations. Its size makes it extremely versatile; it’s not too big but it holds a ton. Between the main dump pocket and the 4 large outer pockets, you’d be hard pressed to find another 25 liter bag that holds as much as the Coulee in such a compact stature.I’ve really only had a few minor quibbles with the 25 liter version of the Coulee:- Some internal organization in the main pocket would be nice.- It would be nice to be able to cinch down the openings of the center outer pockets to prevent loose items from falling out.- I do at times wish it was slightly larger. I’ve considering replacing it with a Scree, but then you lose those 2 large outer center pockets (which I love), and I worried the Scree would be too big. When I heard about the Coulee 30 it seemed like Mystery Ranch was addressing every issue I had with the 25:- While there’s no actual internal organization, it has attachment loops at the top for a Zoid bag, so I ordered one. The Zoid attaches at the top of the main compartment and lays on top of your load, and easily flips up out of the way to access your load. It seems to be a great solution.- The upper side cinch straps were re-positioned from the 25; now they buckle to the large center outer pockets allowing you to tighten them closed. - It added internal capacity without adding too much overall size to the bag. It seems to be a nice middle ground between the Coulee 25 and Scree 32.- The lid pocket seems to be much larger. It looks like it has extra fabric to allow it to expand higher than the lid pocket on the 25. - The other big improvement from the 25 is the hip belt pockets are significantly larger. I usually keep the hip belt removed, but it’s now more usable when needed. All in all, the 30 seems like an excellent upgrade from the 25. I can’t wait to get out and use it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very light and quick to openThe size is very easy to adjust to fir your body. The first thing I noticed is how light it is and how well it sits on my back. I like the simplicity of the main compartment. Not much else going on. It does take a bit to get used to opening the pack from the back and I am a bit concerned about the safety of this while travelling since someone can come up from behind and easily open the bag. However, I really like this feature and quickly the bag opens up. It is very quick to get into. Great backpack.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this pack!I'm a relatively tall, slim female, and was in between sizes on the women's packs. I bought the men's pack because it was closer to my measurements. This pack exceeded my expectations. The hip belt is so comfortable and supportive. I stuffed this thing full on my first hike, and it was very comfortable. The way it unzips, allows for access to everything in the pack without pulling things out and having to repack it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect FitStill the best packs available. I had a mid 90's Dana Design Terraplane and my wife had a ladies Arcflex. We also had Bomb daypacks. We recently got back into hiking - but day hikes as we've gotten older! I saw the Coulee 30 and ordered one online. Right out of the box it fit perfectly. I'm 6'2 245 lbs. and this pack (Large/Xtra Large) was made for me. The new design with the large pockets on the front that can be pulled tight with straps allows us to carry plenty of water for hydration too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for meI bought this to haul back and forth to work daily and for day hikes. I haven't taken it on a hike yet, but love it as an EDC. It's big without being too big. I'm a bigger guy and it is comfortable to carry. I've had a few day packs where the straps were a bit on the stingy side as far as size. These are perfect for me without feeling like Chris Farley in Tommy Boy (fat guy in a little suit). There are enough pockets for every small thing I carry daily. I would definitely recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Made For The Field!I bought this pack for day trips and to use for a "get home" bag in my truck. This product is well thought out; as if it was designed by people who actually use the products. This is my first Mystery Ranch purchase, but definitely not my last.
