The BIG LID 10 is a detachable lid that adds additional volume to MYSTERY RANCH fire packs, excluding the Shift. With two zippered pockets, one which is hydration compatible, additional room sustainment gear can be easily added to your MR fire pack.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Hosedragger from Little too big for hot speedI bought this for a hot speed (we all know it just needs a little more space). I originally had the original lid added on to my pack for a little more space which was barely enough, but switching over to this one was great. Now I can load more stuff in it for line assignments, and if I have a engine assignment like mobiling I can easily unclip it quickly. Great product. Yes, a little on the big side because I don't believe it is was spec for hot speed, but if you put it on the highest spine loop and tighten all the slack in each of the 4 straps it works just fine. PS. My pack is kinda Frankensteiny.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Brandon from Tons of storage but....First off this this a great product, well thought out and does its job as it’s designed for. However for my use on a hot speed it’s slightly too large to effectively cinch down and keep in place. It will still mount up fine but just know that it is a little too long to fit properly without mounting the top set of buckles higher then you want to.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Gouldenrod from Awesome sustainment optionI picked this up as a larger sustainment add-on for my Hot Speed than the Hot Shot Lid I already use for instant clip-on sustainment gear. It took some experimenting and a spare buckle accessory pack to find a couple of stable options, because with the existing Hot Speed buckles the Big Lid 10 flopped around a lot. Now I can leave it in the truck with my lunch and other sustainment gear while doing IA, or quickly attatch it with buckles in a high or low configuration depending on the work I'm doing. I attatch the bottom to the belt Molle rather than the loops at the bottom of the fire shelter, and this helps a lot in stabilizing the bag from flopping side-to-side. This works well for engine and HECM ops, but I'd recommend a full line pack for uses outside of that. Can supply additional water, food, shelter, other such sustainment gear, it's a big bag, and instantly converts into a stand-alone day pack as well. A great option if you need an add-on with a lot more room than the hotspeed and Hot Shot Lid have to offer. The top pouch can contain the Hot Shot Lid with room to spare, while the bottom pouch is even larger.

Rated 4 out of 5 by MoeH from Huge, but worth it.This lid dwarfs every 20-30 liter pack I have. The hydration carry is awesome, but it makes the lid super heavy to flop around. However, the lid allows one to compress down large overloads easily.I thoroughly enjoy the zippers - everything about them, as well as the material. Fortunately the logo is on a patch, so you can cut it off if you want to!I can fit several full MSR bottles into this thing. This alone makes it quite excellent for me.

The Big Lid is perfect for my extra gear and attaches quickly and easily to the Hot Speed pack. Fits snug and secure and provides just the right amount of extra space.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Big country from Some much roomI bought this about 6 weeks ago and have had it on some little IA fires never really used it, but after just coming back from a 14 roll and using it every op period in some way I like it a lot as there is a lot of room. The only thing I could say a little off about it is I have both at hotshot TL and a hotspeed pack and it fits the TL better, but works either way
