Designed to stuff into its front, mesh pocket – packing the size of a small water bottle – it fits perfectly in your backpacking pack, everyday carry pack, purse, and luggage. It features a lid flap for extra weather protection and tucks into the bag for ease of access and a top-loading shroud with drawstring main access. It also features contoured shoulder straps and a sternum strap and is built from 100D CORDURA® mini-rip for high abrasion and tear resistance. This full-featured, packable daypack will get you IN & OUT, whatever your mission might be.

Great piece of gear to have as a backup for short and long trips, or maybe just take it as your main piece, it will perform. It does great protecting during light rain, make sure your stuff is in the main pouch. The water pouch in the outside fits a regular hydro flask. I used it as a day pack during a recent business trip and carried a large laptop, books, and notepad with no issues. Great piece of gear. Customer Service A+++, thank you for everything!.

I do day hikes that are 7-10 miles long where I carry extra layers (fleece, or base layers), small med kit, knife, GPS, trekking poles, food, and water and this bag carries it all with more bag left over. The construction of the bag is really great. Even though it is made of soft materials they feel tough and abrasion resistant and you could carry heavier every day carry items with out issue. All the stitching is re-enforced; from the straps connecting to the webbing for lashing to the construction of the bag, the whole thing is solidly put together with the idea you're going to put some miles on this thing. Again, I think it works super well for day hikes. The functionality of the bag is fantastic too, it's got a hydration bladder, outer water bottle holder outer mesh bag is great for storing quick get to things, and the detail pocket holds a phone, keys, knife, etc with easy access no problem. Adjustable chest strap ladder points on the chest strap get it to fit across your body in a way that is comfortableThis thing is super rad. And it folds into itself to take with you on trips/around town/groceries!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of the best bags I've ever usedI travel a lot using carry on only for anywhere from 3 day to month-long trips. I use a large backpack as my overhead luggage and carry my podcasting gear as my personal item. This bag is perfect to bring along clipped to the outside of my big backpack, then deploy when I get where I'm going to use for every day carry. When home, this has now replaced an old osprey bag as my go to everyday carry as well when I'm out in town. I owned the previous, smaller version of this as well and this is a huge upgrade. I've never used a drawstring bag before and I actually find I like it a little better than the zipper, the size is better, and the side waterbottle pocket is still tight but actually usable for my Nalgene. This bag is built like a freaking tank unlike most compressible bags and I look forward to using it for basically the rest of my life

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great travel bagBought the bag to throw in my suitcase when I travel for work. I bought a blue one. It showed up while I was traveling for work and my wife opened the box. She thought the bag was for her. The blue is real light like sky blue. Not a dark blue like my Scree bag. I got home and decided she could keep the blue one and I bought another one in hummus. Love the bag after getting a different color.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect size and weightJust took this pack out for a light two hour hike. I put an osprey 2L water bag in it. My husband has a huge tactical backpack that he usually takes out and I can’t carry it. This pack was perfect for me, lightweight, comfortable, and secure. I really liked carrying it and can’t wait to try something more intensive. The strap across the chest was nice for me but I’m not sure how it would work for someone with a larger chest. I am glad I got this 22L size pack over the size smaller. Fit the water bag, sandals, snacks, and dog supplies. I am really happy with my purchase.

This is my third MR pack and it exceeds my already high expectations that I have come to expect from MR. Design, features, workmanship, marketing (video demonstrations) are all spot on. This is a super light weight pack that is quite capable of carrying a heavy load very comfortably. Simplistic in design, yet access is intuitive and easy.

It's the perfect size to hold my 13.3'' laptop, jacket along with all the accessories I need for traveling. As for hiking the 22L is perfect size to keep what I need for temperature changes. I've used it several times already and have received compliments on the bag. I have zero regrets on this purchase to date.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointing QualityThe In-And-Out 22 is a well thought out bag, meant for light loads. However, the build quality is not up to Mystery Ranch standards and presents durability issues. For example, the cinch cord on the top of the bag was not reinforced, and tore with light use. Great warranty and repair service, but better to choose a bag that doesn't have a basic durability issues like this.
