Rated 5 out of 5 by Lauren for Matt from Best man purseMy husband is a firefighter and gear nerd who recently noticed his aging body (nearing 50) no longer tolerates sitting on a wallet in back pocket. He had been looking for something for a while and got this on-request for Christmas. He has since used it every time we leave the house! It holds a lot and has tons of organization features, yet is still slim and discrete. Neither of us are purse people—tend to go fanny pack or backpack, but this size is perfect for visiting family or being out around town all day. It is comfortable, functional, sturdy, and looks good on him.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Joey from Almost perfect EDC packMy 2nd Mystery Ranch pack, satisfied with the overall quality/design though a loose thread is found:- light weight, just enough padding/storage for daily use- pack stays close to the body due to slim design and comfortable to wear- the straps can be adjusted very easily and separately on the front and back, without altering the position of the shoulder padHope for upgrades in next version:- slightly thicker main compartment for storing thicker items occasionally- simple webbing handle like the Hip Monkey instead of a loop- separate flaps for the front pockets with magnetic closure instead of velcros

Rated 3 out of 5 by AZ Gal from Minus one starBack panel, part that rests against the body, is made of a soft poly material that pills from friction and snags on Velcro. Only had this bag about a month and it already looks terrible. A perplexing design choice by MR. Rest of the bag is quite durable and thoughtfully laid out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by James from Perfect for more than pockets, less than backpackI have a 2 Day Assault that has been my EDC for years and is perfect for when I have to take books and my computer on the go. However, sometimes I just need my iPad and a few other things. So I got this to carry everything I needed when I wanted to just take my iPad in somewhere. I can have my cords, notebooks, a small book, and all of the day to day (pens, etc.) so that I just grab this and the iPad. The only thing that is not perfect about it is the strap length. I knew this going in, but as a 6'6" man, the bag sits in my armpit or just below, instead of at my hip where I would prefer. This is not the fault of the bag or Mystery Ranch, just something to be aware of (and I was when I bought it). Overall, thankful to have it and excited to use it for years to come.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Gregg from Needs a handle!Excellent bag, well made with great internal organization and pockets. I absolutely love it as a day bag as I mostly work with an iPad. The problem comes when you try and pick up the bag by anything other than the strap. The addition of a handle in place of the little loop on top would make this perfect. Another minor suggestion would be to add swivels for the shoulder strap.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Teach from Great small/midsize bagThis would be a 5 star perfect bag if it had a bottle holder pocket on the side of the bag. The front pockets will not hold a 16 oz coffee mug. Otherwise it is just perfect for my needs!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Thomas from Nice BagThis is a nicely organized bag. Zippered pockets, easily accessible pockets (inside and out), and light weight. I cannot comment on the durability of the new materials being used by MR yet. Haven't used it enough, or beat it up enough to make any assessment. I have noticed that it was designed for wearing over the left shoulder for right handed people. For those of us that are southpaws, a bit of an irritant. And, it isn't that bad. It's just the shoulder pad tends to ride mostly on my chest when wearing cross body. Also, if you are in the habit of carrying a water bottle, you had better rethink that, or get a smaller water bottle. This bag was not designed for that. But, if you just want to take a couple of small notebooks, iPad, phone, small incidentals, you should be fine. It's just a nice bag. With the additional plus of not looking goofy wearing a fanny pack as a sling bag.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Mini laptop user from Nice small bagThe fabric is nice, and seems pretty durable. The shoulder strap and pad are also made from good materials. I only have two small gripes: The connection between the shoulder strap and bag is odd, there's only a small bit of fabric connecting to the strap loop, so the strap gets twisted easily. Lastly, I wish it had a simple handle. 5 stars because it's made well.
