Meet the HANDS-FREE RIFLE SLING, the fruit of our labor to build the best rifle sling system.

User functionality, security, and safety are core elements the sling was built upon. An ambidextrous sternum chest strap allows for right-handed or southpaw shooters alike. Rifle sling attaches and grips to your shoulder with a silicon backing and the stock securely rests in the improved waistband rifle stock dock. Alpine summits, dark timber, and riverbottom willows are all viable firearm hunting environments with the HANDS-FREE RIFLE SLING.

  • Wide Rifle Stock Dock attaches to MYSTERY RANCH waist belt
  • Thin padded shoulder pad with anti-slip silicon
  • Buckles swap side for right or left carry
  • Magnetic buckle to the backpack for easy, one-handed attachment
  • 500D CORDURA® fabric
  • Poly spacer mesh
  • Hypalon

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Improvements to old modelCaveat: This is a new product and I have just started using it. That said I am very pleased with it. The tacky material on the sling has kept it from falling from my shoulder and the system has proven to keep my firearm stowed and easy accessed while I am hiking. I did replace the swivel hardware with QDs to fit my rifle, but I am pleased. I have been looking for a system that accommodates a sling. So far I have been using the Kifaru Gun Bearer and while it is proven system it does not accommodate a sling well. So far I have no negative feedback. I will update this review if something changes

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good SlingLet me start by saying IT'S A RIFLE SLING. If you're worried about this thing slipping off your pack while you're doing a Zumba class you probly should stay inside. If you're looking for a comfortable hands free sling that is integrated into your pack system, this is a great option. Only down fall is the strap that attaches to your non dominant hand side twists your pack strap slightly but honestly it's not much of a factor. Anyone who complains about fitment needs to look at how they have this adjusted because it took some trial and error to find what I found comfortable.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It's OK. It helps. A bit.If you're looking for something that keeps your rifle on your shoulder a bit better than a standard sling, this will do the job. If you're looking for something that will keep your rifle on your shoulder securely without needing to think about it, this won't help. Any time I lean forward, or drop my right shoulder, the rifle swings off, the muzzle pointing around in ways that aren't helpful. I'd been hoping this would secure my rifle sufficiently to ride a bike, and that's a non-starter. But if you're looking for a bit of shoulder relief while hiking, and occasionally freeing up your dominant hand, it'll do the job.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Needs WorkConcept looks good but in reality does not work . As soon as you lean forward, rifle slips forward off your shoulder. Not sure how product development boys could have missed that especially with the popularity of bicycles for hunting. Magnetic clasp works well but also does your pack sternum strap to hold rifle sling onto your chest. Think it was wishful thinking bringing this kit to market especially for the price, yikes! Rated 2 out of 5 by from Same fundamental flaw as old versionI bought two of the older versions of this sling and have not been able to get it to stay in place for one simple reason: too much free motion at the forward sling attachment. I have tried mounting the hardware in any number of configurations over the past 7 months (to include mounting according to instructions and the examples in picture and video for previous version). The only way I have been able to make this design work is by mounting the buckle attachment in the sling as close to the forward swivel stud as possible (a configuration that it did not come with from the factory). This is really disappointing as I have generally loved the MR products I have had so far. The quality of these materials are great, and I want this design to work because I find the underarm method from Kiffaru to be extremely uncomfortable, and strapping my weapon to my pack to be too slow in most circumstances. I would suggest MR designers consider keeping the sling as is, and consider finding a way to keep the rifle from swaying. One method might be adding a second bracket (similar to the current one) that attaches higher up on the frame. Another alternative might be some form of strapping that incorporates a quick release buckle (or toggle) that similar secures the forearm or barrel of the rifle. One way or another, the fore end needs to be better controlled or I don’t see this design ever working consistently.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This thing sucksThis thing is 100% not hands-free. It is impossible to keep the rifle sling over your shoulder even with the fancy attachment for your pack. The rifle will constantly slip off your shoulder no matter how you have it mounted because the chest strap pulls it forward. I would not recommend this if you truly want a hands-free sling.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use!I really like the quick release with the magnet. Go back together with great ease. And the rifle does not move around. It stays locked in, but is easy to pull out for use.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Falls forwardI think mystery ranch makes some amazing products. This just isn’t one. The idea is great. Solid construction and a great sling. But the hands free function doesn’t work at all.Like others noted it falls forward with barely any help. If you bend forward the sling will rotate around/off your shoulder and rifle will be in the dirt.
