Bozeman, MT

Photographer and Director

My outdoor pursuits over the years have fallen on either side of a broad grey area where my professional adventuring and adventure for passion cross over. I grew up here in Bozeman, Montana where I learned to climb, ski, backpack, fly fish and do any of the myriad of different activities one has access to here in SW Montana. In my pursuit of stories as a photographer and film maker, I have climbed Kilimanjaro, Denali, and spent time on the flanks of Everest, I have skied first descents on the peaks of Northern Kurdistan, traversed the wilds of the Arctic Tundra in pursuit of white bears and owls, and told stories of remarkable characters young and old on almost every continent in the world.

Outdoor adventure is baked into my ethos, it continues to take me beyond the horizon and also remain as my steadfast solace when I need to feel the beat of my own heart in my head on an afternoon in the mountains around Bozeman and I certainly plan on that remaining to be the case for the rest of my days.

My achievements are varied, from receiving NYT Critic’s Pick for my film “Torn” and being on the 40 Under 40 Emerging talent in documentary film at this year’s DOCNYC, to climbing and skiing off the highest peak in North America and rowing a raft down the Grand Canyon of the Colorado.
